Millersburg Elementary students carried on the tradition of celebrating Earth Day on April 16, 2025. Several community and student organizations led hands on activities that focused on learning about the environment, conserving resources, protecting our wildlife and waterways in Pennsylvania, as well as how to get involved in our own community programs, right here in Millersburg, that promote a clean and healthy environment. The community and student organizations that led activities for our students include the Ned Smith Center, Lykens Valley Children’s Museum, Heather Eggleston, Millersburg Area Community Gardens, Millersburg 4H students, Millersburg High School and Middle School Student Councils, Millersburg High School SADD Club, and the Pittsburgh Zoo. Millersburg Elementary staff and students want to thank all these organizations for an amazing day of learning and fun! Mrs. Ashley Eggleston did an amazing job organizing this event for our students!! Thank you!!

We are excited to announce the first annual End of the Year Community Celebration, being held on Wednesday, May 28th , from 4 pm - 6 pm. Bring the family, neighbors, friends, lounge chairs, etc., and let’s celebrate this past year and learn about future opportunities. Live music will be provided by the group Jake & Friendz. The group is known for their mash-ups and medleys of top 40 hits past and present, which is led by bandleader and music director Jake Schmoyer. Additionally, there will be food, vendors, games, and prizes.
