The company that is doing to Seal coating and line painting had a breakdown and could not finish the job on Sunday Aug 25th they are planning to be onsite Sunday Sept. 1st to finish the job.

Weather permitting, the sealcoating, line and number painting on all blacktopped areas of the elementary, middle and high schools be done on Sunday August 25th.
All lots and blacktopped areas will be closed Sunday August 25th and will be reopened Monday morning August 26th.
The parking lots will be reopened Monday Morning August 26th .

Hello Millersburg Indians,
I hope this email finds you successfully navigating the first week of school! The purpose of this message is to share information with you about a new law that the Senate signed on July 11, 2024, House Bill 700 (HB 700). This Bill makes several amendments to the Pennsylvania Public School Code. One of the requirements of HB 700 is for all Pennsylvania school districts to have at least one-full-time security personnel on duty during the school day. The Bill is effective immediately; therefore, these requirements should be in place for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
The Administration team and the School Board at Millersburg has made the decision to contract an armed security officer through Information Network Associates (INA). INA is a well-known company that provides security services to many other school districts in the surrounding area. All of INA’s armed security officers must go through extensive screening and training to qualify to work at a School District. *Our contracted security officer will be starting in the near future.
The Administrative team and the School Board will spend the next few months communicating with community stakeholders to determine if we will continue to contract with INA or if there is another local option for a school police officer or a school resource officer. I want to convey that your child’s safety, as well as the safety of our staff and community is of utmost importance to me. Teachers and staff will share pertinent information with students about our new security staff person, recognizing that this could be a sensitive situation for some students/families. We will also be looking to this security person to build relationships with staff and students, creating a safer community feel in the buildings.

Thank you Millersburg families for your patience and support with transportation. We appreciate you!! Several important updates:
1) All cars must use the elementary loop for drop off. Must exit right toward soccer field.
2) Please do not park in the HS parking lot in the AM to drop off students. Staff and students have reserved parking spots.
3) The HS loop is for buses only. If you wish to drop off your child, please use Center Street or the loop in front of the elementary school.
