As part of our ongoing efforts to provide families with the tools they need to monitor and track essential school functions for their students, we are beginning to roll out updates to the MySchoolBucks (MSB) and PowerSchool (PS) integrations available to all families. MySchoolBucks allows families the ability to view, pay, and track Lunch Balances and School Fees in a single location. With the latest updates, MySchoolBucks is now available directly from PowerSchool (web) for added convenience in addition to the MSB Parent App.
Due to the unreliability of the old MySchoolBucks lunch balance display in PowerSchool (web & mobile) which caused balances to not reflect the correct amount, we have disabled the Balance page on the web version of PowerSchool as well as the Balance & Fee displays in the PowerSchool Mobile App.
In PowerSchool (web version), parents will now be able to see the MySchoolBucks menu icon in place of the Balance icon. This new MSB option will provide parents the option to create a new account, or link an existing one, and view their students' Lunch Balance and any outstanding Fees directly from PowerSchool. If you have never used MySchoolBucks before, this is the place to start as it will help you create a new account that is tied to your PowerSchool account so you only need 1 login.
When using the PowerSchool Parent Mobile App, the Lunch Balance & Fee displays are now disabled and only the GPA will be displayed. To view and add funds, the MySchoolBucks mobile app will now be required.
The MySchoolBucks portal/app will allow parents to view and pay Lunch Balances as well as any Fees assigned, such as Device Insurance, Shop Fees, Field Trips, Course Fees, and more. Be on the lookout for additional information from your teachers, offices, and principals regarding new ways to pay for school activities.
