Mr. Eric S. Petery
Business Manager
Mr. Petery has been with the district since August 1998 and is currently serving the district as the Business Manager and Board of Education Secretary. He previously served as the district's Technology Coordinator, Safety and Security Coordinator, and Pandemic Coordinator. He earned his Associate Degree in Business Administration from Harrisburg Area Community College, Bachelor of Science Degree and Teacher Certification in Business Education with a focus on Office Technologies and Accounting from Bloomsburg University, and his Instructional Technology Specialist Certification from The Pennsylvania State University.
Mr. Petery lives in Millersburg with his wife and has three children. In his free time, he enjoys following Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey and spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Mr. Michael A. Lyter
Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
Michael Lyter served as principal at Lenkerville Elementary School since the summer of 2011. He was a primary student at Lenkerville Elementary School in 1977, graduated high school from the Halifax Area School District in 1990, received his B.S. in Education from Millersville University in 1994, and completed his Master's in Education in Educational Administration from Temple University in 2001. Michael lives in Halifax with his wife, Jaime, and their two children, Jonah and Mara. In June of 2022, Michael accepted the position of Director of Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment.
Mr. Daniel Troutman

Safety & Security Coordinator
Mr. Daniel Troutman graduated from the Millersburg Area School District in 1996. After high school he attended York Technical Institute for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. He worked in the HVAC field for 18 years before starting with the school district in 2015.
Mr. Troutman is married and lives in Millersburg with his wife and two daughters, who graduated from Millersburg area School District, one in 2019 and one in 2022. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, golfing, and weekends at camp in northern Pennsylvania.

Mr. Charlie Hunsinger
Middle School Principal
Mr. Hunsinger is honored to serve as the principal of Millersburg Middle School. With a rich educational journey beginning in 2010, he brings experience from the Department of Defense Educational Activity (DoDEA), Solanco School District, and as a dedicated teacher at Lenkerville Elementary School. Committed to fostering a positive learning environment, he is excited to collaborate with students, parents, and staff in shaping a bright future for our school.
Mr. Hunsinger resides in Millersburg along with his wife, fourth grade teacher Mrs. Hunsinger, and two children, Anna, and Luke. He is a lover of animals and has two dogs, Riley a newfoundland, and Daisy a golden retriever. In his spare time, Mr. Hunsinger enjoys coaching, attending sporting events, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Matthew Cowger
Elementary School Principal
Mr. Cowger earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Lock Haven University, received his Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University, and administrative certificate from Penn State University. Mr. Cowger was previously a 5th grade math teacher at Lenkerville Elementary.
Matt lives in Millersburg with his wife, Erin, and their two children, Dane and Lyla. In his free time, he loves traveling and exploring new places and coaching his children’s sports teams.
