Dr. Daniel T. Potutschnig

Dr. Daniel Potutschnig joined the district in July of 2022.  Previously, he served as the Administrative Director of the Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology (The Academy) for eleven years.  During his tenure at The Academy, he provided leadership in the area of secondary curriculum and instruction, teacher evaluation, professional development, facility management and expansion, new program development, grant writing, and adult programming.

In addition, Dr. Potutschnig has held the position of Assistant Director at the Huntingdon County Career and Technology (HCCTC).  He began his career in education as an instructor at the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology (CPI), teaching Precision Machining where he obtained the National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) accreditation for his program.

Dr. Potutschnig attended Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology where he received his Associate Degree in Machine Tool Technology. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees majoring in Workforce Education and Development from the Pennsylvania State University. He completed his Principal certification through Saint Francis University prior to earning his doctorate from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in May of 2019.

Dr. Potutschnig resides in Reedsville with his wife and two daughters.
