Mr. Haupt earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Pittsburgh, Masters in Special Education from Shippensburg University, including K-12 Principal certification and completed coursework and comprehensive exams in the doctoral program in school system leadership at Widener University.

Mr. Haupt began his educational career as a special education teacher in the Camp Hill School District.  Prior to being appointed Superintendent in Millersburg, he served as an Assistant Middle School Principal, Middle School Principal and Director of Elementary Education in the West Shore School District.

Mr. Haupt and his wife of twenty-three years have two active daughters; ages 21 and 16.  He is an avid golfer, as time permits.  The majority of his free time is spent supporting his daughters' activities.
