• 2021-2022 Millersburg Area School District Health and Safety Plan Information

On June 28, 2021, The PA Department of Health lifted the universal face covering order. Millersburg Area School District will begin the 2021-2022 school year with masks being voluntary for all students and staff.  Millersburg Area School District will continue to monitor PA DOH and CDC guidelines for masking protocols and comply with all requirements.

On July 7, 2021, PA Department of Health (DOH) and PA Department of Education (PDE) aligned their practices with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). To date, there is uncertainty regarding the need to wear masks while riding district transportation.  We are staying on top of the latest discussions occurring at the various levels of government and will keep you informed of the most current requirements.

On July 30, 2021, a draft of the District’s Health & Safety Plan is due to the PDE.  The Plan is required to be submitted for all districts.  The Plan template from the PDE is more broad and less complex than the Plan carried out in the 2020-2021 school year.

On August 17th, 2021 the Millersburg Board of Education approved our plan, which can be accessed at the following link.
