Millersburg Area School District
Building Project Status Report
After a busy summer and fall, the scope of work in the high school is nearing completion: the ceiling grid and new light fixtures have been installed in the corridor ceilings; all classroom work has been finalized allowing teachers and students to return to regular, upgraded classrooms; beginning the week of January 25, the new ceiling tile will be installed and the high school will begin to resemble a completed project!
The new chiller unit has been set in place and piping installed into the new boiler room. The new underground propane gas tanks have been installed and piping completed into the new boiler room as well.
During the recent holiday break, the scope of work included the beginning phases of ceiling removal in the middle school. Visitors to the middle school will definitely notice the foundation and concrete slab for the new security vestibule and administration area to the left of the current main entrance. The large heat piping was installed from the corridor ceiling through the superintendent’s office area and into the middle school. Work is now underway in three classrooms on the second floor of the middle school. Installation of piping and new ductwork is underway, along with construction of mechanical chases.
Stay tuned for future updates!
