• Make a study schedule and stick to it.
    • When you sit down to work, have all needed materials ready (pencils, paper, book, notes, etc.)
    • Have a study center where you can work free from distractions.
    • Try working with a study partner or groups for some of your studying.
    • When trying to remember information, try to link it to ideas you already know and repeat the information over and over.
    • Use memory tricks (like "Please excuse my dear aunt Sally" in math for the order of operations "parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction").
    • Try different techniques to remember information such as writing it down, singing, or making mental pictures that are easy to remember.
    • TAKE GOOD NOTES!  The better notes you have, the easier they will be to study with.  Sometimes you will even surprise yourself at how much you are already learning when making an effort to take good notes!
