Act 34 (PA State Police Criminal History Record Check)

Submit a request online at the PA State Police website at https://epatch.state.pa.us/Home.jsp or submit a paper application directly to the PA State Police Central Registry.  Select EDUCATION as the purpose for the background check.  A paper application can be downloaded at http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt/document/1360908/sp_4-164_pdf.  Report shall be no more than 1 year old.  The original report or certification form must be presented to the school district for review prior to employment.

 

Act 151 (PA Child Abuse History Clearance)

Submit a request online at https://www.compass.state.pa.us/CWIS or submit paper application directly to the Childline and Abuse Registry, PA Department of Human Services.  Select SCHOOL EMPLOYEE as the purpose for the background check.  A paper application can be downloaded at http://www.dhs.state.pa.us/cs/groups/webcontent/documents/form/s_001762.pdf.  Report shall be no more than 1 year old.  The original report must be presented to the school district for review prior to employment.

 

Act 114 (FBI Criminal History Record)

Information and registration is available at www.pa.cogentid.com or you may contact the school district for further information.  IMPORTANT:  You must select the Department of Education option to register for a background check that is valid for school employment.  Report shall be no more than 1 year old.  The original report must be presented to the school district for review prior to employment.

SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS

Server General Worker/High School/Middle School.  Job duties include: 
  1. Sets up serving lines with utensils, napkins, lunch trays, cups, etc.
  2. Serves our customers (students, teachers, administrators, etc.) during meal periods.
  3. A thorough knowledge of portion control, serving utensils and menu requirements a must.
  4. Displays food items to our customers in an attractive manner.
  5. Assists with dish room or pot sink after serving.
  6. Practices all safety techniques developed by the school district and The Nutrition Group.
  7. Treats all our customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  8. Adheres to all policies of the school district and The Nutrition Group.
  9. Performs all other duties as directed by the Cook or Food Service Director.

Marching Band Percussion Instructor. Part-time supplemental position available immediately. This position will work as a team member of the marching staff, and as instructor to percussion students in the marching band from late-July through early November, and as needed through the spring. Prospective candidates must attain the ability read music, to teach parts individually and within small groups, and have an understanding of rudiments and sticking.  Availability for after-school or pre-football game rehearsals is preferred and availability during band camp in early August is strongly needed.  Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest and one current letter of recommendation to Mr. Kenneth Campbell, Director of Bands, Millersburg Area High School, 799 Center Street, Millersburg, PA 17061.
