Careers in Health Club, Jr. and Sr. Fitness and Wellness students, and sophomore health classes participated in a "heart walk" in conjunction with the American Heart Association on April 15, 2016. Approximately 65 students and 4 faculty/staff members hiked the rail trail at the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art. The trail took them on a 2 1/2 hour, 5.5 mile hike to and from the Millersburg Area High School resulting in approximately 12,500 steps and 450 calories burned. The students raised $280.00 for the American Heart Association and its ongoing cause in fighting heart disease, which remains the number one cause of death in the United States.
